My Picnic with Pablo

I began by coiling pine needles baskets with unconventional shapes and patterns – I love patterns. My current obsession is wandering through hardware stores looking up and down the shelves for ideas, interesting shiny bits, and sometimes that perfect part. I use whatever combination of basketry technique and design will showcase the beauty of these materials. My other style of basket draws from unexpected inspiration such as Steampunk or Picasso to make something light hearted and whimsical. The goal with these, as with all my baskets, is to create something unique and enjoyable to look at.
