Artist Statement:
A favorite pastime is to adventure onto a pebble beach of the Great Lake Superior searching among the ancient sea tumbled stones she has, for the moment, given up. I see a deep strength within each stone as her waters wash over them. During the depths of cold and dark winter months, I take pleasure knotting, wrapping and weaving upon them, around them and embracing them. Methodically contemplating. Each takes me back to a moment in time, under the summer sun sharing time with the Lake Superior. She’s grand.
